I understand that homework can be stressful and students might even feel pressure to get everything correct because of a grade. In my opinion, homework is practice and should be treated as such.
If I see a student tried and put effort into their homework, they will receive full credit. If a student has less than 100% on their assignment, it would be because questions were left blank, the assignment is incomplete or lack of effort was shown. When I say effort, I mean, work should be shown when needed and neatness should be considered. When we practice, we are bound to get some wrong and that’s okay! Homework should be a chance to try and practice your best!
Homework will be given out Monday through Thursday. There will be no homework on Fridays- weekends are for family time. Homework most of the time will be a nightly math assignment and a list of spelling words to study for two weeks at a time. Homework should be about 30 to 40 minutes worth of work.
